Brewmaster’s Notes

Our Belgian-style Abbey Dubbel is a strong ale brewed in the traditional style of the Trappist monks. Minimus doubles down on depth of flavour with aged hops accompanied by a light-oak aging, while the Belgian candi sugar pairs perfectly with a subtle but distinct fruity acidity. The name is from the latin expression “minima maxima sunt” which translates to “The smallest things are most important”.

Tasting Notes: Wonderful dried fruit, molasses and chocolate tones on the aroma with a rich dark malt and candi sugar palate and dry lingering finish devoid of bitterness.  Wonderful acidity is what makes this beer drink lighter than it is.
