Royal York Beer

Brewmaster’s Notes

We are very proud to be partnered with the Royal York Hotel and the experience of meeting their Executive Chef and touring their facilities during the development of this beer was fantastic. Their philosophy of fresh and local ingredients being a given is exactly in line with our view of using the best ingredients you can get and not excepting substitutes. The proximity of the hotel and their bees to our brewpub means that the bees likely feed in the flower boxes on our patios in the Distillery District where this beer is made! Be nice to any bees you meet in the downtown core of Toronto–they are on a very important mission!

A collaboration between the Royal York Hotel in Toronto and Mill Street. The Royal York produces honey in hives on their rooftop as part of their philosophy of sourcing local food for their hotel. Exclusively available at the bars at the Royal York Hotel, this cream ale is infused with honey during aging giving it a wonderful sweetness that is a perfect complement to the nutty malt character and herbal hop character.
