Brewmaster’s Notes

I first brewed this style of beer for my wedding in August, 1991 and the Mill Street Frambozen holds true to the spirit of that first batch I ever made. It is brewed year round, but it is a truly multi-facetted refreshing ale perfect for hot weather patio drinking or cold weather when you need a taste of summer!

Brewed with our Belgian wit yeast and given a secondary fermentation on whole raspberries, the result is a naturally carbonated, garnet-red beer with a fresh raspberry aroma and palate with a clean, dry finish. We use a traditional Belgian method for producing this style of beer. A blend of European and Canadian malts give this beer a smooth, creamy body while filtration shows off its intense red colour.

Tasting Notes: Fresh raspberry aroma with rich palate and dry lingering finish makes this a delightful patio beer or anytime before or after a meal.
