Job Responsibilities
  • To ensure timely and safe delivery of shipments between Mill Street sites to customers across Ontario.
Equipment:
  • New equipment – nothing older than 5 years
  • 28’ Straight Trucks
  • 53’ Tandem Axle trailers
Additional Details:
  • Uniforms provided
  • Hand-bombing may be required

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years accident free AZ licensed driving experience.
    • Must provide recent CVOR and clean drivers abstract.
  • Competencies:
    • Able to operate 53-foot trailers.
    • Capable of operating manual transmission and capable of maintain legal driver’s log.
    • Familiar with Ontario geography.
    • Experience with heavy haul applications and material handling equipment and excellent customer service skills.

Maintenance Planner

Job Responsibilities
  • Support execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, and estimating, scheduling and coordinating maintenance work flow.
  • Ensure that materials, tools and manpower are available for maintenance tasks and provide proper documentation of performed work
  • Ensure preventative maintenance plans are updated and executed as require
  • Maintain close liaison with Operational Personnel and trades workforce to improve overall plant maintenance effectiveness
  • Provide brewery Maintenance targets and continually monitor performance
  • Develop Maintenance strategies that are aligned to Global standards and requirements

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • University Degree or Trades Graduate
  • Educational experience in Mechanical Technologist or Electrical Technologist is also an asset
  • 1-3 years’ experience in maintenance planning or mechanical / electrical trade in an industrial environment preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude; basic understanding of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment preferred
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally throughout the operation
  • Excellent computer skills; use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is an asset
  • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English

Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform routine analytical tests on beer through all stages of the brewing process
  • Perform on-line packaging quality tests for kegs, bottles and cans
  • Perform shelf-life tests on packaged beer
  • Perform tests to evaluate and monitor yeast heath
  • Perform necessary microbiological sampling
  • Participate in sensory evaluation of beer
  • Data analysis of all quality results
  • Identify problem areas and contribute to problem-solving with brewing, packaging and maintenance

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Food Science is required
  • Brewery experience is preferred
  • Food and/or Beverage experience is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Sensory training and experience is a plus
  • Strong microbiology skills are desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills

Brand Experience Manager

Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Trade Marketing and working directly with the VP Marketing and Brand team, the Manager, Brand Experience will lead in activating the Mill Street brand at various partner events throughout Canada. Recruiting and managing a team of brand ambassadors, this role will build upon strategic pillars to deploy a unique consumer experience for Mill Street’s various brands and innovations. The role will serve as a conduit between brand, field sales and trade marketing with opportunities to develop and deploy on-trade programming, branding and consumer experiences. Leveraging insights from consumer events, the role will be integral in Mill Street’s integrated marketing campaigns.

Scope of Role:

  • Recruit and manage team of Brand Ambassadors, planning and executing all Mill Street led partnerships & events.
  • Schedule and manage Brand Ambassador payroll via “Dayforce” system.
  • Coordinate out-of-province event strategy in key markets
  • Create and manage a yearly event schedule, including budget ownership/accountability
  • Organize and lead collaboration with the brand/trade team on event concept, graphic design/production/printing, and event marketing.
  • Manage event related trade tool inventory.
  • Coordinate the logistics for shipping supplies and staff travel to the event location.
  • Create event sponsorship packages and lead the solicitation and securing of sponsorships.
  • Develop and manage relationship with key event producers (LiveNation, TFOB, Ottawa CityFolk etc.)
  • Manage follow-up with vendors, sponsors and brands ambassadors following each event.
  • Keep track of event finances including purchase order generation, invoicing and payment collection.
  • Work with Trade Marketing Manager to develop trade tools & programming.
  • Provide in-field trade marketing support to field sales team.
  • Assist in managing POC planning process.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Demonstrates a passion for all things craft beer and specifically Mill Street.
  • Has completed at minimum the level 1 Cicerone program.
  • A Minimum of 5 years sales / marketing experience in a CPG environment with a proven track record of results.
  • Has the ability to take decisive ownership of the business. Must be a self-starter!
  • Possesses a ‘can do’ attitude with a defined and urgent bias for action.
  • Dynamic business acumen. Able to deliver high quality results in varying capacities (sales and marketing) and channels.
  • Possesses outstanding time management and multi-tasking capability.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the initiative to adapt and overcome in the face of adversity.
  • Ability to grasp strategies and create tools and tactics for in field execution.
