Job Responsibilities

  • Greet retail customers as they enter the NL Brew Pub retail area
  • Educate customer on different types of beers and the Mill Street brand
  • Up sell guests on merchandise and additional retail offerings
  • Communicate upcoming promotions for both the retail area and Brew Pub
  • Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through service excellence
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Comfortable with handling cash and daily store opening and closing activities
  • Spot clean the Retail bar and Brewery area to ensure a clean condition and visual
  • Help aid NL Head Brewer and Sales Manager in future Brew Pub tours
  • Be comfortable with handling kegs, beer cases and filling retailer beer growlers
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)
  • Act as an ambassador of the Mill Street brand

Job Qualifications and Competencies

  • MUST be 19 years or older
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Previous retail sales experience preferred
  • Need to be well organized, and have the ability to multitask.
  • Previous public speaking and presentation skills would be an asset
  • Previous hospitality/retail experience would be an asset
  • Knowledge of brewing processes preferred
  • Small business experience considered an asset
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts

Territory Manager (Ajax)

Overview:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Eastern Ontario the individual will manage a specific geographic area within the province of Ontario spanning from Ajax in Durham Region, north to Peterborough and west to Kingston. Disciplined time management and organizational skills are paramount as you aggressively drive growth by expanding the business at all current Mill Street customers while continuously prospecting and closing new account opportunities. You will demonstrate professionalism and possess a passion for craft beer. Although we provide hands on training and ongoing managerial support, we expect the new hire to adapt and quickly learn the Mill Street way of selling

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain impactful relationships with key personnel at all current and prospective Mill Street customers (LCBO, The Beer Store and Licensee’s)
  • Strive to increase distribution on all Mill Street brands across all accounts.
  • Prioritize growth opportunities based on scale and expediency.
  • Network with all key stakeholders for identified opportunities to gain understanding of business operations and indoctrinate them into Mill Street culture (“What we do, who we are”).
  • Create resource requirement plans for each opportunity with associated return on investment. Make recommendations on strategy, approach and timing to Regional Sales Manager and then execute in trade.
  • Locate and secure impactful visibility opportunities for the Mill Street trademark in all facets within the geographical territory.
  • Create platforms for making inroads into broader “Key” accounts outlining distribution, revenue and commercial marketing opportunity.
  • Develop impactful and detailed presentations for decision makers that are consistent with Mill Street corporate objectives and terms of trade.
  • Liaise with Regional Sales Manager to insure proper coverage and execution of all activities at the outlet level.
  • Co-create all annual and quarterly territory business objectives with each customer.
  • Create and maintain all territory analyses and record keeping as required using structured CRM system (Salesforce) and self-created processes.

Minimum Qualifications

    • 18 months sales experience as a Territory Manager in a related consumer packaged goods environment required. Experience with beverage alcohol considered an asset.
    • Must reside within the geographical borders of the territory, preferably in Durham region.
    • Must own a reliable vehicle with a clean drivers abstract.
    • Fully able to lift 20 kgs multiple times per day.
    • Able to work some evenings and weekends

Assistant Marketing Manager (Scarborough)

Role Description and Overview:

Reporting to the Brand Manager, the Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and execution of brand marketing programs for Mill St. Brewery’s portfolio of brands. In collaboration with the Brand Manager, the Associate Marketing Manager will execute programs that raise awareness, build brand equity, and contribute to the profitable growth of our brands.

Scope of Role

  • Manage our social channels on a daily basis including taking photos, writing content, managing advertising and managing customer support. Selling Tools – develop and maintain sales toolkit including sales deck creation and sell sheet writing.
  • Annual Brand Programs – execute integrated brand programs – (i.e. Consumer Promotions, media promotions, partnerships, etc.) to increase brand awareness and sales on a national basis based on consumer behaviours, insights and market analysis
  • Develop creative briefs to guide creative elements with agency partners as required.
  • Contribute to all new product launches, including packaging development and launch plans for new core and seasonal brand launches
  • Support Brand Manager in executing website and digital consumer engagement.
  • Support Brand Manager to develop long-term strategies for bringing Mill Street to life through social media storytelling.
  • Support the Brand Manager in creating consumer programs for the LCBO and other liquor boards across Canada

Role Requirements:

  • University degree in business or related field.
  • A Minimum of 2 years brand marketing experience in a consumer packaged goods environment with a proven track record of results.
  • Demonstrates a deep passion for all things craft beer.
  • Creativity is in your DNA. Design is a passion.
  • Excellent social media skills & experience, including content creation and customer service.
  • Social-media ready photography and copywriting skills.
  • Must be a self-starter!
  • Possesses a ‘can do’ attitude with a defined and urgent bias for action.
  • The ability to work with a multi-disciplined team. Strong ability to build and influence interpersonal relationships.

Job description:

  • Be a Safety Champion on the floor
  • Develop and monitor production plans, inventories, and coordinate activities to meet schedules and target objectives
  • Maintain adequate staffing level to meet demand
  • Improve operations by identifying opportunities and proposing solutions utilizing a management system tool and methodologies to ensure key performance indicators and targets are achieved or exceeded
