Brand Ambassador (Vancouver)

Mill Street brewery is seeking a part time brand ambassador for the 2017 Beer Festival season. We are looking for energetic candidates with a passion for craft beer, festivals, and samplings. Mill Street Brewery is an industry leader in the craft beer world and continues to produce new innovative products that require promotion, marketing, and knowledgeable team member to assist conveying our key messages to our consumer base. This position is a mixture of consumer engagement, creative thinking and manual labor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and tear down Mill Street booth at events
Ability to work well in a fast pace environment
Maintain upkeep of event merchandise, event transportation (when needed), signage and equipment
Executes quality control checks to ensure satisfactory representation of the client’s brand
Load in and load out kegs from events
Ability to use draught equipment and troubleshoot issues

Qualifications:

Experience in customer service, marketing, or business
Passionate and knowledgeable about Craft Beer
Demonstrated long-term excellent sales performance
Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Enthusiastic and dedicated to the Mill Street brand
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
Must be able to travel throughout the local market
Access to a vehicle and G licence
Able to travel across Ontario

Working Conditions:

Heavy lifting and carrying in excess of 150 ILB
Faced paced environment
Irregular hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays

Territory Manager

Role Profile – Territory Manager, Greater Toronto Area

Role Description and Overview:

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Greater Toronto Area the individual will manage a specific geographic territory within the metropolitan area of Toronto. Disciplined time management and organizational skills are paramount as you aggressively drive growth by expanding the business of all current Mill Street customers and by continually prospecting and closing new, prospective customers. You will demonstrate professionalism and possess a passion for beer.

Scope of Role:

• Develop and maintain impactful relationships with key personnel at all current and prospective Mill Street customers (LCBO, The Beer Store , Grocery and licensed establishments)
• Strive to increase distribution on all Mill Street brands across all accounts.
• Prioritize growth opportunities based on scale and expediency.
• Network with all key stakeholders for identified opportunities to gain understanding of business operations. Indoctrinate all key stakeholders into Mill Street culture (“What we do, who we are”).
• Create resource requirement plan that details the resource investment for each opportunity with associated return on investment. Make recommendations on strategy, approach and timing to manager and then execute in trade.
• Locate and secure impactful visibility opportunities for the Mill Street trademark in all facets within the geographical territory.
• Create platform for making inroads into broader “Key” accounts. Detail distribution, revenue and commercial marketing opportunity.
• Create impactful and detailed presentations to decision makers that are consistent with Mill Street corporate objectives and terms of trade.
• Liaise with Regional Sales Manager to insure proper coverage and execution of all activities at the outlet level.
• Co-create all annual and quarterly territory business objectives with each customer.
• Create and maintain all territory analyses and record keeping as required using structured system (Salesforce CRM).

Role Requirements:

• A minimum of 18 months experience in Territory Manager position in a related consumer packaged goods environment.
• The chosen candidate must reside within the geographical borders of the territory.
• Own a reliable vehicle.
• Demonstrated high energy level and possesses a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Demonstrated bias for bottom line growth.
• Open and apparent positive mindset.
• Track record of delivering excellent results in Sales.
• Solid networking capability. Strong personal affect.

• Fully able to lift 20 kgs multiple times per day.

Logistics Coordinator (Scarborough)

Objective of the Job

To control the inflow and outflow of materials and finished goods from Brewery to Mill Street customers and Distribution Centres timely and accurately.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the offloading of the deliveries of raw materials into the Brewery/Warehouse.
  • Timely receiving of the raw materials into SAP (D8/D4, RFG’s, raw material purchase orders/invoices) and troubleshoot any variances.
  • Physical cycle counting of raw materials/FG on a timely basis as well as inventory count on a monthly basis.
  • Administrative support of the Front Line Manager and Inventory Analyst
  • Check expected delivery schedule of materials to ensure materials arrive when scheduled and are offloaded in a timely manner.
  • Tracking of outstanding material shipments by contacting suppliers and/or freight dispatches. 5S of the office areas.
  • Manage the in and out of finished goods per schedule, establishing priorities per schedule (fleet or third party carriers).
  • Assign deliveries to trucks based on truck capacity
  • Print pick slips for STO, Sales Orders and manage picking and staging of orders.
  • Print, and prepare driver manifests and invoices for delivery
  • Route stops for drivers based on delivery windows and restrictions
  • Receive returns from trade into inventory/reassign undelivered product to trucks
  • Update routing assignment for new customers
  • Manage couriering of merchandise and Sales Rep pickups of samples and/or merchandise

Job Qualifications and Competencies

  • Experience: 1-3 years in various Logistics/Import/Export environments.
  • Competencies: good oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Analytical and problem solving skills. High attention to detail.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office, WMS (Warehouse Management System) and SAP systems.
  • Successful completion of a college diploma or university degree.
