Brand Ambassador (Toronto)

Mill Street brewery is seeking a part time brand ambassador for the 2016-2017 Beer Festival season. We are looking for energetic candidates with a passion for craft beer, festivals, and samplings. Mill Street Brewery is an industry leader in the craft beer world and continues to produce new innovative products that require promotion, marketing, and knowledgeable team member to assist conveying our key messages to our consumer base. This position is a mixture of consumer engagement, creative thinking and manual labor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and tear down Mill Street booth at events
Ability to work well in a fast pace environment
Maintain upkeep of event merchandise, event transportation (when needed), signage and equipment
Executes quality control checks to ensure satisfactory representation of the client’s brand
Load in and load out kegs from events
Ability to use draught equipment and troubleshoot issues

Qualifications:

Experience in customer service, marketing, or business
Passionate and knowledgeable about Craft Beer
Demonstrated long-term excellent sales performance
Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Enthusiastic and dedicated to the Mill Street brand
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
Must be able to travel throughout the local market
Access to a vehicle and G licence
Able to travel across Ontario

Working Conditions:

Heavy lifting and carrying in excess of 150 ILB
Faced paced environment
Irregular hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays

Forklift Operator (Scarborough)

Job Responsibilities

  • Operation of machines, e.g. forklifts, stretch wrappers (2), and power floor sweeper
  • Responsible for all HACCP and EH&S procedures in the department which includes but is not limited to: trailer inspections, forklift inspections and cleaning
  • Receiving of incoming materials, completing documentation and general knowledge of chemical containment
  • Pre-truck departure verification of correct product onboard
  • Ability to add kegs and cases to a truck daily
  • The operators may be required to train other operators

Job Qualifications and Competencies 

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent (proof required). Post-secondary education considered an asset.
  • High energy, strong teamwork and ability to learn
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Exceptional work, discipline and attendance record
  • Ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with co-workers
  • Ability to lift maximum 150 lbs to waist level
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Fork-lift experience
  • Comfortable wearing/ using safety equipment at all times
  • Willingness to learn supply chain related computer programs

Job Description
Contribute to the productivity and future of your favorite beer by becoming a Packaging Operator and joining the Mill Street family! Our packaging operators create the link between the brewing and shipping process and therefore help to keep the company ahead of the competition while continuously improving the process. Start your career with this exciting challenge and help sell more beer!
As an Operator, you would be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, operating high speed manufacturing equipment, driving fork trucks and cleaning. You would also become trained in lean manufacturing techniques, which includes monitoring and interpreting performance date to ensure we’re operating at our maximum capacity.
Job Responsibilities
• Monitor high speed equipment
• Drive fork trucks
• Load supplies into machinery
• Record process data
• Help continuous improvement by following Key Performance Indicators
• Perform process quality control checks
• Execute industrial cleaning and sanitation
• Read, monitor and interpret performance metrics
Minimum qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to engage in physical activities and manual labor, as required, including but not limited to: prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and bending
• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and climates
• Ability to work varying shifts on weekends and/or holidays (days, afternoon, midnights, overtime).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ability to work in a competitive environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior production, warehouse, or related experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Continuous improvement experience
• Demonstrate teamwork and ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and managers

Team Lead, Brand Ambassador (Toronto)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure team members are on time and fulfilling their responsibility
Ensure customer satisfaction is met and escalate all issues to the Sponsorship & Events Manager
Maintain upkeep of event merchandise, event transportation (when needed), signage and equipment
Executes quality control checks to ensure satisfactory representation of the client’s brand
Ensures all shifts are recapped and reported timely after the event
Performs additional and administrative duties as required
Load in and load out kegs from events
Ability to use draught equipment and troubleshoot issues
Responsible for handling tokens and ticket counts

Qualifications:

Experience in customer service, marketing, or business
Previous experience in a brand ambassador role
Passionate and knowledgeable about Craft Beer
Demonstrated long-term excellent sales performance
Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Enthusiastic and dedicated to the Mill Street brand
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
Must be able to travel throughout the local market
