Territory Manager - Kingston / Eastern Ontario

About Mill Street Brewery:

Job Description:

  • Deliver territory volume, share, distribution, and margin contribution targets by total territory, sales channel and brand within a specific geography through leveraging commercial resources (brands, programs, systems etc.)
  • Ownership of annual territory planning, individual customer planning, promotional evaluation and customer sell-back, competitive intelligence gathering and opportunity identification (with Regional Sales Manager approval)
  • Territory spend and budget management
  • Plan and execute consumer programming and sales standards across all channels (Retail, On-Premise, Community)
  • Apply excellent sales skills to drive results in key customers and consumer groups in all sales channels.
  • Build strong business relationships with key customers and consumer groups
  • Identify and leverage business opportunities (i.e. new customers)
  • To ensure execution excellence of National and customized programming
  • Execution of call cycle as per service level requirements and administrative duties (routine management)

Qualifications:

  • University Degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year outside sales experience in a B2B role
  • Previous experience in CPG and/or beverage alcohol an asset
  • Superior sales skills in probing, matching solutions, negotiating and closing
  • Strong impact and influential abilities
  • Excellent relationship building and follow-up skills
  • Budget management experience, analytical skills, strong business acumen
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Computer proficiency and aptitude, specifically with Excel and Powerpoint
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license

Electrician

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in a production environment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC controls & instrumentation on a wide variety of industrial applications.
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including disassembling and reassembling electrical equipment/machinery.
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program for plant equipment.
  • Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks.
  • Be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work orders, planners, and parts staging.

Job Qualifications and Competencies

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Red Seal Industrial Electrician license
  • Instrumentation & PLC programming experience is required
  • Proven mechanical and troubleshooting skills; prefer 3 or more years experience with PLC Controls of various Rockwell Automation Platforms
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and midnights), overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Outstanding work ethic with exceptional discipline, attendance, and safety record
  • Willingness to take initiative and ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • High energy and initiative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer familiarity and capable of adapting to new computer programs

Maintenance Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, supervise and make decisions related to all the activities of the Maintenance department
  • Ensure the safety, training and development of all employees in the department are taken care of
  • Accountable for delivering Maintenance Key Performance Indicator results
  • Manage the maintenance budget and accountable for maintenance cost optimization in Packaging, Brewing, Powerhouse, Logistics and all buildings on site
  • Accountable for plant reliability in support of packaging line efficiencies
  • Ensure all maintenance routines are updated
  • Ensure compliance to all environment, quality, HACCP and safety standards related to the Technical Services department
  • Department Head responsibility for Utilities and Wastewater operations at the brewery (water and water treatment, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, pH control and CO2 usage)
  • Responsible for brewery wide automation strategy and support to electricians and operating departments
  • Responsible for managing federally regulated ammonia, boilers and wastewater systems within legislative compliance
  • Support of Capital Plan & Execution
  • Responsible for building maintenance execution
  • Manage Contractor / OEM activities and site standard compliance requirements
  • Comply with all company policies

Job Qualifications and Competencies

  • University Degree – Engineering preferred
  • 5-8 years’ experience as a project engineer or project manager (or experience with equipment design or factory engineering)
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, stakeholder communication & problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices, process cost management, policies and procedures including preventative, predictive and overhaul maintenance
  • 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance management considered an asset
  • Has a basic understanding of mechanical instruments and equipment, construction and building materials, electrical supply systems, process control systems, steam generation systems, refrigeration, air conditioning (HVAC) and water treatment
  • Good knowledge of computer information systems for administration, and process control systems and instrumentation for production and process equipment
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite and knowledge of maintenance management systems such as SAP or other CMMS systems
