2017 DRY-HOPPED BARLEY WINE

Brewmaster’s Notes

This year’s vintage is a truly unique, deep amber-hued beauty! Brewed in spring of 2017 and bottled in the autumn, we patiently aged this beer in bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky and the effect has been dramatic. The beer became as smooth as silk and picked up the light vanilla and cinnamon flavours typical of American whiskeys.

Tasting Notes: Rich malt and sweet alcohol tones start out with fruit esters and hop tones woven throughout. Vanilla/sherry tones from start to finish with a rich tapestry of dried fruit flavours combining with cinnamon threads from bourbon whiskey barrel ageing. Dry finish with long lingering alcohol warmth and incredible complexity.
